WHITE:

the colour of purity, innocence, virtue, fidelity and peace

WHITE is a colour with high luminosity but no tint. More precisely, it contains all the colours of the electromagnetic spectrum and is also called achromatic colour, while black is the absence of colour.
Although white is an achromatic colour and therefore neutral, many people identify it as a cold colour because it is associated with ice and snow.
WHITE symbolises purity, innocence, virtue, fidelity and peace. In some oriental cultures the concept of peace is expanded to include the concept of death and rebirth.
WHITE expresses goodness, truth, simplicity and security. The choice of white represents an energetic state of mind, denoting open-mindedness and a serene awareness of oneself and the world.
WHITE evokes the concept of absolute goodness.

CURIOSITY: In the period before the invention of the washing machine, white also symbolised wealth and affluence, as people who wore it could afford to have their servants wash their clothes. Wearing white was a symbol of a high social class, as no one would wear white to do menial work.
The ancient Greeks wore white clothing at night to have pleasant dreams.
Few people know that there are many more shades of white commercially available than any other colour.
